Bacalar Lagoon is popularly known as the
Lagoon of Seven Colors because one can distinguish seven different tones of blue
in its waters it is because of the different depths of it, inside the lagoon
there are three different cenotes, whose waters constitute a single lagoon, its
shape is narrow and long, with 42 km long and only 3 km at its widest point.
In the southern part of Bacalar Lagoon, we would find an amazing secret river where we would be able to spot some of the wildlife that lives in the surroundings of Bacalar Lagoon such as spider monkeys, deer, coaties, aguties, etc

2. Free Time to Swim and Snorkeling in the Xul-Ha Secret River

Hul-Ha River is one of the best kept secrets of Bacalar, it is a beautyful and unique river formed by the water of the rain that is fed by the Bacalar Lagoon cristaline water and is surrounded by rainforest vegetation, this will allow us to observe lot of wildlife like spider monkeys, coaties, aguties, fishes birds and even some turtles, of course we would need a bit of luck to spot some of this animals.
